We are staying in Halifax this week as MSVU (5-0) and UKC (5-0) are squaring off again, but in another sport. Like last week, both teams are undefeated and atop the Conference standings going into this match. The Mystics are No. 11 in the CCAA, but UKC, who has only lost a single set this season, hope to shake things up like they did on the basketball court.

Dawson Blues vs. Dynamiques de Sainte-Foy

The RSEQ introduced Divisions for women’s basketball this season, and the Dawson Blues (5-0) are currently first in one while the Dynamiques de Sainte-Foy (5-0) hold top spot in the other. The two teams are also ranked in the Top-Five in the country, with the Dynamiques at No. 3 and Dawson close behind at No. 5.

Moahwk Mountaineers vs. Sheridan Bruins
OCAA - Men's Basketball

The OCAA West may be the most competitive men’s basketball division in the country right now, giving followers “Any Given Sunday” vibes. Case in point, the Sheridan Bruins (3-4) are squaring off against the Mohawk Mountaineers (6-1). The Mountaineers (CCAA No. 13) recently fell to the Redeemer Royals (2-5) while the Bruins upset the previously undefeated St. Clair Saints (CCAA No. 6) just last weekend.

CMU Blazers vs. ACC Cougars
MCAC - Men's Volleyball
November 24 at 8:00 p.m. CT & November 25 at 2:00 p.m. CT

It is One versus Two in the MCAC standings as the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers (5-0) visit the Assiniboine Community College (3-2) for a double-header weekend. This will be the first meeting between these two this season, as the fresh faces on the ACC bench look to score an upset or two against the more veteran CMU (CCAA No. 10) squad.

Three of the top teams in the country are from the ACAC North Division, and two square off this weekend. The CCAA’s No. 1 Ranked Lakeland Rustlers (7-1) host the Augustana Vikings (7-1) who have risen to No. 14 in the CCAA. While their records will no longer be identical after Saturday, they may be again shortly, as Augustana hosts the rematch next weekend.

The Camosun Chargers (4-4) will host the Douglas Royals (4-4) this weekend to wrap up the first half of the volleyball season. Despite being tied for third in the PACWEST Standings, the teams seem to be moving in opposite directions. The defending CCAA Champion Chargers started the season slow but have won four of their last six while the Royals have dropped three of their last four.
