Championships Hosted by Mount Allison Mounties
ACAA - Badminton
February 10-11

     

The ACAA will be the first conference to determine athletes and teams for nationals during their Badminton Conference Championship & CCAA Qualifier this weekend. Dalhousie AC, UKC, Saint-Anne and UNBSJ will join Mount Allison in Sackville, NB for the competition. Following an impressive 2023 national campaign for the ACAA, athletes and coaches will be keen to advance to the CCAA Championship hosted by Seneca College in King City, ON February 28 - March 2.


Vanier Cheetahs vs. Dynamiques de Sainte-Foy
RSEQ - Women's Basketball
February 9 at 7:00 p.m. ET

     

Playoff positioning is on the line as the Vanier Cheetahs (9-6) visit les Dynamiques de Sainte-Foy (9-6). Both teams are currently second place in their division which means they would play the third place team in the opposite division when the RSEQ Championship begins. Sainte-Foy still has the opportunity to surpass Saint-Jean for first, while Vanier (CCAA No. 14) is trying to avoid being caught by Saint-Lambert and Lennoxville.


Championships Hosted by Sault Cougars
OCAA - Curling
February 8-10

     
The OCAA Curling Championships are underway at the YNCU Curling Centre in Sault Ste. Marie. Hosted by Sault College, the championships will feature 15 teams from six institutions vying for the provincial championship in men’s, women’s and mixed competitions. The top women’s and men's teams will also earn a berth to the CCAA National Championships taking place in Fredericton, NB March 12-16.

 February 9 at 6 p.m. CT & February 10 at 12 p.m. CT

     
Assiniboine Community College (8-6) and Canadian Mennonite University (6-8) have jockeyed for position all season, but time is running out. The Cougars and Blazers have split their season series with two wins each but ACC is currently ahead in the standings. Winning the season series would be a confidence boost as the teams prepare to face each other in a few weeks during the first round of the MCAC Championships.

  Keyano Huskies vs. St. Mary's Lightning

It doesn’t get much better than a clash of divisional titans with playoff season looming. The North leading Keyano Huskies (15-1) are visiting the St. Mary’s Lightning (17-2), who sit atop the South. The Huskies (CCAA No. 3) have won 12 straight and given up the fewest points against in the Conference, while the Lightning (CCAA No. 7) currently have the most wins and are the highest scoring team in the ACAC.


CBC Bearcats vs. Camosun Chargers
PACWEST - Women's Volleyball
February 9 at 6 p.m. PT & February 10 at 1 p.m. PT
     
It is a massive weekend for the CBC Bearcats and Camosun Chargers, with just two points separating them in the standings. Both are coming off tough four game stretches and need wins to keep their Conference Championship hopes alive. The Chargers currently hold the final playoff spot but both teams are within striking distance of the third place Capilano Blues depending on how everyone performs down the stretch. - With files from PACWEST
