The CCAA Championship season is upon us as the top golfers in the country prepare to tee it up at the Deer Creek Golf Club in Ajax, Ontario. In addition to the Host Durham Lords, teams and individuals from Fanshawe, Humber, Georgian, St. Lawrence (OCAA), St. Clair, André-Laurendeau, John Abbott, Champlain St. Lawrence (RSEQ), SAIT, Medicine Hat, Portage and Concordia will be vying to be crowned CCAA Champions.


UKC Blue Devils vs. Holland Hurricanes

October 15 at 3:15 p.m. AT

     

The UKC Blue Devils (5-1-1) and Holland Hurricanes (5-1-2) are neck and neck in the ACAA with one point separating them in the league standings and the goals for and against stat lines. The Hurricanes (CCAA No. 13) hold a slight edge and bested the Blue Devils earlier in the season, but UKC has gone undefeated ever since and has posted shut-outs in four of their victories.


Aigles d’Ahuntsic vs. Dynamiques de Sainte-Foy

The Aigles d’Ahuntsic (7-0-1) have earned their top spot in the RSEQ and CCAA while the Dynamiques de Sainte-Foy (4-3-1) have battled their way into second place in the standings and No. 7 in the national rankings. With Champlain Saint-Lambert hosting the CCAA Championships, both teams will be hoping to go undefeated the rest of the way, as only one other RSEQ team will advance to nationals.


Redeemer Royals vs. St. Clair Saints

With only a couple of games remaining in the regular season, several OCAA men’s soccer teams are jockeying for playoff positions. The St. Clair Saints (4-4-1) and Redeemer Royals (3-4-1) are in the middle of the pack in the OCAA West Division and looking to secure their standing. The top seven teams in each division will compete in an interdivisional qualifying round next weekend.


PUC Pilots vs. USB Rouges

The first place Rouges de l’Université de Saint-Boniface (7-1-0) have a tough weekend ahead with a road game at the Brandon Bobcats (4-3-2) and home game against the Providence University College Pilots (6-2-1). Les Rouges (CCAA No. 9) bested the Bobcats a couple of weeks ago but their lone loss came against the Pilots, who they’ve split their season series with and lead by only two points in the standings.


Running Room Grand Prix #4 Hosted by StMU
ACAC Cross-Country

The fourth ACAC Running Room Grand Prix goes October 15th in Calgary as St. Mary's hosts the final race before the ACAC Conference Championships. With strong performances from multiple teams in the men’s and women’s fields, it is setting up to be a tight race to the CCAA National Championships hosted by the Medicine Hat Rattlers November 12. 


Douglas Royals vs. VIU Mariners

Ocotber 15 & 16 at 5:00 p.m. PT
 

The Douglas Royals (3-1-4) and VIU Mariners (3-2-3) will face off for the third and fourth time this weekend with back-to-back games on the Island. Their stalemate of a series has resulted in draws during their previous two encounters. With only two weekends remaining, the Royals (CCAA No. 2) and Mariners (CCAA No. 11) are divided by a single point in the standings.
