The 2022 portion of the ACAA season is ending with a bang as the MSVU Mystics (6-1) are headed to the island to face the Holland Hurricanes (5-1). With nearly identical offensive and defensive efficiency, the Mystics (CCAA No. 3) and Hurricanes (CCAA No. 11) should put on a good show as they battle for top spot in the conference. A battle between Top-10 teams in the country features the Champlain Saint-Lambert Cavaliers (6-0) visiting the Géants du Cégep Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (5-0). The No. 1 Ranked Cavaliers have dominated both ends of the court this season but Les Géants (CCAA No. 7) have earned their spot as well with victories over perennial contenders like Dawson and Sainte-Foy. |

Georgian Grizzlies vs. Canadore Panthers |

The CCAA’s No. 5 Georgian Grizzlies (8-0), are heading through cottage country to face the Canadore Panthers (7-1) in a battle of the OCAA East’s top teams. Both squads feature athletes at the top of the OCAA’s statistical categories, including CJ Okeke of Georgian who leads the conference in Kills Per Set (3.48) and Steve Bidal of Canadore who is leading the league in Hitting Percentage (.387). |

PUC Pilots vs. CMU Blazers |

Last week it was #1 versus #2 on the women’s side of the conference and this weekend features the same scenario for the men. The PUC Pilots (6-2) will close out the semester against the CCAA’s No. 10 ranked CMU Blazers (7-1). The teams traded wins a month ago so the winner of this one will hold top spot in the standings going into the second half of the season. |

With the only games in town (and the division) this month, it’s a great opportunity to check out the CCAA’s No. 2 ranked Keyano Huskies (10-0) as they host the TKU Eagles (2-7) for a pair of matches. The undefeated Huskies have turned away all challengers thuis far, but they won’t want to take the Eagles lightly as TKU is coming of a victory over the third place CUE Thunder. |

With things winding down for the winter break, the Capilano Blues (3-1) visit the Douglas Royals (3-2) in a rare Thursday night matchup. Both teams have six points in the standings, but the Blues (CCAA No. 5) have a game in hand and are coming off a pair of wins last weekend, including one over the formerly top ranked VIU Mariners. |
