The name may have changed but their role as the CCAA's longest serving corporate partner remains the same.
Since 1999, the crew that began as the Big Kahuna Sport Company has been one of the strongest supporters of the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) and its members. A new agreement between the CCAA and the OneTEAM Sports Group will see this partnership reach the quarter century mark.
"OneTEAM Sports Group's longevity, loyalty and track record of giving back to CCAA and its members have contributed to the growth of the Association and its National Championships," said Vince Amato, CCAA President. "The CCAA is excited to explore new opportunities with OneTEAM that will directly and indirectly benefit the Association and its members."
One of those new opportunities will be the launch of co-branded apparel for every CCAA Member Varsity Athletic Department. Hoodies and tees will be branded with varsity logos and colours and will feature a CCAA logo on the back. The apparel will be priced to sell but with a small proceed from every sale going to the CCAA.
"The apparel program is a great opportunity to outfit student-athletes in team branding while also educating them about their affiliation with the CCAA," stated Brandon Stone, CCAA Manager of Marketing & Sponsorship. "Coming out of the pandemic and with the CCAA's 50th Anniversary approaching we are excited to engage with the members, and in some cases re-inform them, about the CCAA and its partners like OneTEAM Sports."
The co-branded apparel will be available to order during two time periods this Spring/Summer. Orders placed between February 27 and April 15 will be delivered by June 15, while orders placed between May 1 and June 15 will be delivered by September 15.
