Holland Hurricanes vs. Crandall Chargers

The Crandall Chargers (3-1) are looking to get one back as they host the Holland Hurricanes (6-0) in a rematch of their recent back and forth contest. The Chargers shot an impressive 48% from the field and led 44-34 at the half, but the Hurricanes (CCAA No. 4) stormed back in the third behind a strong 3-point performance to claim the victory.

Dawson Blues vs. Géants de Saint-Jean

The Géants du Cégep Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (3-0) are on the marquee again this week, but with a different team, as their women’s basketball squad hosts the Dawson Blues (4-1). Saint-Jean (CCAA No. 8), in just their third season in the highly competitive league, has a chance to make a statement against the Blues (CCAA No. 12), who are perennial contenders for the RSEQ crown.

Canadore Panthers vs. George Brown Huskies

The Canadore Panthers (5-1) and George Brown Huskies (5-2) are each looking to earn their sixth in the “The 6ix” this Friday night. Both squads have approximately triple the number of set victories to losses this season as they prepare to battle it out for second place in the OCAA East Divisions standings.  

Les Rouges de Saint-Boniface vs. PUC Pilots

It is #1 vs. #2 in the MCAC this weekend as the Providence University College Pilots (4-2) host the undefeated Rouges de l’Université de Saint-Boniface (6-0). USB are the defending conference champions and currently ranked No. 10 in the CCAA but the Pilots are riding a three-match win streak as they look to slow down the red-hot Rouges.

Two Top-Ten teams in the CCAA are squaring off in Red Deer, as the Kings (6-1) host the Lethbridge Kodiaks (6-1) in a pair of games this weekend. The results could have long term implications for Lethbridge (CCAA No. 3) and RDP (CCAA No. 7) as they jockey for top position in the always competitive ACAC.

After opening the season with pair of close losses the Camosun Chargers (3-2) have exploded with three straight wins and will wrap up the first third of their season against the Okanagan Coyotes (1-1). The winning streak has vaulted the Chargers to the top of the standings while the Coyotes have several games in hand to make a statement before the winter break.

After a narrow loss to the world's No. 2 ranked team, Canada will take their positive performance from their opening match of the tournament into their next match against Croatia on Sunday.
