| It’s been a highly competitive women’s basketball season in the ACAA to this point, with the top four teams trading wins and losses. The St. Thomas Tommies (5-1) or MSVU Mystics (5-1) can stake a claim at the top with a win this weekend. The Mystics (CCAA No. 6) sit a few spots ahead of the Tommies (CCAA No. 9) in the National Rankings, but STU is responsible for MSVU’s only loss this season. | ||

There are currently three teams battling for top spot in the RSEQ with 14 points each. One of those squads are the Dynamiques de Sainte-Foy (7-1), who will be facing off against the fourth place Nomades de Montmorency. Sainte-Foy is ranked No. 4 in the CCAA but Momo should be a tough test, as the Nomades have allowed the fewest points against in the RSEQ this season. |

OCAA Invitational Hosted by the Centennial Colts |

Four OCAA Badminton Invitationals have been contested this season and the final tune-up before the regional playoffs is set to take flight this weekend at Centennial. The tournaments have been highly competitive thus far with several teams cracking the top three across the five competitions. The OCAA is looking to assemble a strong team as the 2020 CCAA Badminton National Championships will take place in conference, hosted by the UTM Eagles March 4-7. |

The third place Providence University College Pilots (4-4) hit the road this weekend to face the league leading Rouges de l’Université de Saint-Boniface (8-0). The Pilots ended 2019 with two impressive 3-0 wins, but Les Rouges have only given up six sets all season compared to the 24 they have won. |

The ACAC has a CCAA leading five men’s volleyball teams ranked in the country, two of which square off this weekend. The ACAC South leading Lethbridge Kodiaks (10-2) travel to the kingdom of Red Deer (9-3) to face an RDC squad that has long reigned in the sport. The Kodiaks are currently No. 8 in the CCAA, while the Kings are only a few spots back at No. 13. |

The defending CCAA Champion VIU Mariners (5-1) opened the season with a loss to Douglas College (7-0), which kickstarted the Royals’ ascent to the top of the CCAA Rankings. The Mariners haven’t lost since, and currently find themselves ranked No. 4 in the country. This weekend’s double-header could establish who wears the crown in the west or at the very least affirm the strength of the conference. |
