Championships Hosted by NAIT
ACAC BADMINTON
February 22-23

With the OCAA and ACAA teams already determined for nationals, the NAIT Ooks are hosting the ACAC Badminton Championships to see who will represent their conference in Mississauga. The Host Ooks appear to be front runners, having finished the regular season with 183 points, followed by the Concordia Thunder (157 pts), TKU Eagles (117 pts) and Olds Broncos (98 pts). Anything can happen in the playoffs though, especially with ACAC gold medals and CCAA Championship berths on the line.

*Les Rouges de l'USB vs. PUC Pilots
MCAC MEN'S VOLLEYBALL
February 21 @ 6 pm CT

The MCAC is wrapping up their volleyball regular season Friday night with a pair of matches featuring the first place teams. The Providence Pilots and Canadian Mennonite University Blazers sit atop the standings with identical records of 16-3. While they don’t play each other, PUC has a slightly tougher challenge as they welcome the Rouges de l’Université de Saint-Boniface (7-12), while CMU travels to face the winless Red River College Rebels.

Sheridan Bruins vs. Humber Hawks
OCAA MEN'S BASKETBALL
February 20 @ 8 pm ET

There is a lot of chatter about “The Game” so it would be amiss not to put it on the marquee. The Humber Hawks (14-5) vs. the Sheridan Bruins (13-6) is touted by many as the fiercest rivalry in the CCAA and the two will meet for their 105th regular season matchup Thursday night. The Bruins hold the series edge over the Hawks, but Humber is having a better second half to this season as they inch closer to hosting the CCAA Championships next month.

Nomades de Montmorency vs. Dawson Blues
RSEQ WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
February 21 @ 7 pm ET

The Dawson Blues (12-1) have ridden their strong play in the new year to the top of the CCAA Rankings. However, their opponents this weekend, the Nomades de Montmorency (9-4), are responsible for that single blemish on the Blues’ record. While the Nomades are currently fourth in the standings, the top four in the RSEQ including Sainte-Foy (11-2) and Saint-Lambert (10-4), all have viable ambitions of securing one of the two berths to the CCAA Championships.

St. Thomas Tommies vs. Holland Hurricanes
ACAA MEN'S VOLLEYBALL
February 22 @ 5:30 pm AT

It has been St. Thomas (12-2) and everyone else this season in the ACAA, which bodes well for the Tommies as they prepare to host the CCAA Championship. However, their opponent this weekend, the Holland Hurricanes (6-8), have been surging of late winning five of their last seven. In fact, one of those wins came against the Tommies, when they split a weekend series with a win apiece.

*NOTE: MCAC teams do not have access to CCAA National Championships until 2021-22.
