MSVU Mystics vs. UKC Blue Devils |
The ACAA leading MSVU Mystics (10-2) are looking to rebound from their second loss of the season when they visit their Halifax rivals the UKC Blue Devils (8-4). The Mystics, No. 6 in the CCAA, are hoping to defend their ACAA title but UKC, St. Thomas and Holland are all having competitive seasons. The Blue Devils returned home with a pair of strong road wins last weekend, but they will be tested against MSVU on Saturday and the second place Hurricanes (9-3) on Sunday. |
Vanier Cheetahs vs. Nomades de Montmorency |
The Vanier Cheetahs (13-1) haven’t lost since October and their opponents, the Nomades de Montmorency (10-3), only have two losses over that same stretch. Vanier’s record has propelled them to the very top of the CCAA Rankings, but Montmorency is not far behind at No. 9 in the country. If that isn’t enough intrigue, waiting in the wings are the CCAA’s No. 6 Dynamiques de Brébeuf (11-2), who will face the Cheetahs and Nomades next weekend. |
Humber Hawks vs. Redeemer Royals |
The Humber Hawks (12-4) lost their first four matches of the season, including the opener against the Redeemer Royals (12-3). Since that time, the 2020 CCAA Championship Host Hawks, have gone on a 12-game win streak to climb the OCAA West standings right behind the Royals. That string of wins has inched Humber up the CCAA Rankings to the No. 10 spot, while Redeemer has maintained their position at No. 14. |
*CMU Blazers vs. PUC Pilots |
The Canadian Mennonite University Blazers (13-2) and Providence University College Pilots (13-2) have set themselves apart in the MCAC. With identical records, the Blazers and Pilots sit atop the standings and have the opportunity to claim first place with a win. CMU swept PUC in straight sets to open the season, but PUC has dealt the Blazers their only two losses this season since then. |

Capilano Blues vs. VIU Mariners PACWEST MEN'S VOLLEYBALL February 8 @ 8 pm PT & February 9 @ 3 pm PT |
It’s a three-way tie atop the PACWEST men’s volleyball standings, where the Douglas Royals, VIU Mariners and Capilano Blues are each posting 16-4 records. The No. 3 ranked Blues travel to Nanaimo for a pair of matches against the Mariners, who are currently fourth in the CCAA. Both teams have exactly 50 set wins, but Capilano has two fewer sets lost than VIU this season. However, the Mariners are on the longer win streak and did claim two victories over the Blues early in the season. |
