
VIU to Host 2026 CCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship
The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) is proud to announce that Vancouver Island University (VIU) will host the 2026 CCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship. The event will take place from March 18 to 21, 2026, bringing the nation's top collegiate basketball talent to Nanaimo, BC. Vancouver Island University boasts state-of-the-art athletic facilities, which has hosted The VIU Mariners have established themselves as a powerhouse in collegiate basketball, capturing three CCAA national championships (1994, 2013, and 2019) and earning numerous provincial and national accolades.
