St. Thomas University and Tommies Athletics are thrilled to welcome you to Fredericton, NB, and to the 2025 CCAA Women’s Basketball National Championships! Fredericton is situated along the mighty Wolastoq (Saint John River), and St. Thomas is located on the traditional territory of the Wolastoqiyik, Wəlastəkewiyik / Maliseet whose ancestors along with the Mi’Kmaq / Mi’kmaw and Passamaquoddy / Peskotomuhkati Tribes / Nations signed Peace and Friendship Treaties with the British Crown in the 1700s. The five-storey, 139,000-square-foot building is among the largest single construction projects in Fredericton's history. It was designed by B and H Architects in partnership with Sasaki and Associates. It was built by Moncton-based Acadian Construction. The Performance Gym features a regulation size (FIBA) 28m X 15m basketball court, and stadium seating for 1400+ spectators. Dressing rooms with showers, medical rooms, an officials’ room, public washrooms, canteen, and ample parking round out the facility’s amenities. We are honored to host the best women’s basketball teams from the CCAA on these beautiful lands, and congratulate all of the deserving teams who have qualified to compete. We hope that you enjoy your time in our city! |
