CapU Squamish
Capilano University recently completed the installation of a FIFA-grade turf field at its new campus in Squamish.
The turf field replaces the existing soccer field and has been designed to meet the high certification standards required for professional level play. The University selected FieldTurf, a Tarkett Sports Company, for the field replacement. A Canadian company, FieldTurf has installed more than 25,000 fields worldwide, including BC Place Stadium, the Richmond Oval Blue Field and Starlight Stadium in Langford.
The field replacement is one of several projects the University is undertaking in preparation for its inaugural fall term at CapU Squamish, which began in September. Additional projects include replacing the gymnasium floor, upgrading classroom technology and updating student housing facilities.
