GAME 10 During the third day of the CCAA Championship, the Dynamiques de Brébeuf and the Briercrest Clippers faced each other in game one of the Bronze Semi-Final. The Dynamiques de Brébeuf completely took the lead in the first quarter with successful layups and jump shots, thanks in part to multiple shots made by #10 Isaac Pierre-Louis, which left little chance for the Clippers to catch up (32-14). Even though they made several 3-point jump shots, Briercrest struggled to close the gap in the second quarter. The Clippers played an aggressive offensive game, causing the crowd to react and leading to Brébeuf making twelve free throw shots that contributed to the Dynamiques’ 64-36 lead. After half time, despite consecutive shots from #1 Francis Dogani, the Briercrest Clippers couldn’t turn the game around, even though they scored slightly more points than Brébeuf. In the end, Brébeuf had enough of the advantage that they maintained their 84-59 lead. In the last quarter, Briercrest became a different team, maintaining a strong defence and making it hard for Brébeuf to get a goal in. The Clippers’ #3 Riley Seaborn made a great 3-point jump shot that had the crowd on their feet cheering. Despite Briercrest scoring an impressive 30 points in the final quarter, Brébeuf won the game 101-89. The Briercrest Clippers’ player of the game was #1 Francis Dogani and the Dynamiques de Brébeuf’s player of the game was #10 Isaac Pierre-Louis. Congratulations to both teams.
