In the opening matchup of the 2022 CCAA Women's Soccer Championship, the OCAA Humber Hawks won 3-0 over Les Rouges de Saint-Boniface from the MCAC.

The Hawks opened up the scoring in the 23rd minute when midfielder Antonia Gatti sent in a long-distance shot at goal that the Saint-Boniface goalkeeper managed to get a hand on, but not keep out of her goal.  The MCAC champs held off Humber's relentless attack to close out the half and start the second but Emily Robitaille found the back of the net in the 51st minute to give the Hawks the 2-0 lead.  Humber secured their lead and iced the game in the 73rd, with another long-range drive at goal, this time from striker Catarina Medeiros.

The 4-Imprint Players of the Game were #30, Mylène Chabot from les Rouges and #19, Vanessa Reda from the Hawks.

Match 2:  Champlain Saint-Lambert Cavaliers 1, Red Deer Queens 0

In the second matchup of the day, the Championship Host and #3 seeded Champlain Cavaliers faced the #2 ranked Red Deer Polytechnic Queens from Alberta.

The first half saw conservative play from both teams, and despite a few good scoring chances, neither team could make them count. Saint-Lambert came out of the half controlling the pace, finally breaking the deadlock in the 75th minute. Emilie Grondines slipped a through ball to her on-rushing teammate Mariam Jama-Pelletier, who calmly tucked away the breakaway which got the large and supportive crowd cheering for what proved to be the Cavaliers game winning goal.

The 4-Imprint Players of the Game were #11, Kayla Yeo from the Red Deer Queens and #19, Mariam Jama-Pelletier from the Champlain Cavaliers.

Match 3:  Aigles d'Ahuntsic 6, MSVU Mystics 1

As the temperatures began to drop in Saint-Lambert, the RSEQ champions les Aigles d'Ahuntsic began to heat things up as they faced the ACAA Champions, the Mount Saint Vincent University Mystics.

Ahuntsic wasted no time establishing a lead, scoring in the 3rd minute and then again in the 11th, 21st, 35th & 37th minutes of play. The Aigles closed out the first half firmly in control with goals from Alexie Bellerose, Sarah-Eve Belanger, Chloe Charbonneau, Chloe Joseph, and Florence Thibeault.

To MSVU's credit they came out fighting in the second half with Annika Monroe notching one for the mystics in the 62nd minute. Ahuntsic's Garance Dalmas Zappa replied with another in the 68th, locking things up for the CCAA's No. 1 Ranked Team.

Match 4:  Seneca Sting 2, VIU Mariners 0

As the sun set over the city skyline, the Seneca Sting from the OCAA and PACWEST's VIU Mariners, kicked off in the final match of the day.

The game got off to a torrid start as both teams looked to punch their ticket into the semi-finals. Vancouver Island University pressed Seneca early and boxed them in their zone for large parts of the first half. Seneca's athletic backline and goalkeeper thwarted all chances and kept the score at 0-0 to end the first half.

In the 46th minute, #11, Shanice Alfred scored for Seneca off a scramble in front of the VIU goal, giving the Sting a 1-0 lead. After an exchange of opportunities by both sides, Seneca padded their lead with a second goal, putting the game away in the 85th with a marker from Olivia Lamacchia off of a corner kick. Seneca held on for the clean sheet and the 2-0 win.

CCAA Player of the Year, Cara Dunlop was named the 4-Imprint Player of the Game for the Mariners, while #5, Olivia Lamacchia received the honor for the Seneca Sting
