2021 CCAA Women’s Soccer All-Canadians

The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) is proud to announce the 2021 CCAA Women’s Soccer All-Canadians.

The student-athletes, who are selected by their conference based on performance and contribution to the sport and their team, were honoured at the 2021 CCAA Women’s Soccer National Championship, hosted by Humber College in Woodbridge, ON.

Ye, the PACWEST Player of the Year, led the Blues to a 7-1-1 record and a tie for first place in the conference. She put her versatility on display at center midfield and took control of the play at her position. The fourth-year veteran played on the wing and as a defender to steady the back line and stop many rallies by opposing teams. Ye also illustrated her knack for finding the back of the net, scoring five times in nine games.   The PACWEST Rookie of the Year led Capilano to a tie atop the conference standings with a 7-1-1 record. Campbell’s dynamic play also propelled her to top scorer in the PACWEST with five markers in only seven matches. She showed incredible maturity on the field as well as the creative ability to generate scoring opportunities for herself and her teammates. Campbell has made a huge contribution to the Blues’ success in her first season and will do so for years to come.   The ACAC Player of the year led the Thunder to a tie for second place in the ACAC North Division with a 4-2 record. Callander, a third-year midfielder, led the team with five goals. She is a team player who puts in the extra time and effort to help herself and her teammates find success both on and off the field. Callander also volunteers her time to help fundraise for athletic scholarships at Concordia University of Edmonton.

Wiebe found the back of the net 13 times in only six games. The first-year striker led the Trojans to a 6-0 record and first-place finish in the ACAC South Division. Wiebe showed remarkable consistency with six consecutive multi-goal games. She is enjoying the sport once again after taking some time off to focus on academics. Wiebe brings a positive outlook to the team and possesses a great attitude. Her work ethic is second to none.   McPherson led SAIT to the top of the ACAC South Division standings with a perfect 6-0 record. The third-year midfielder placed fifth in the conference with four assists in six games. McPherson, the team captain, brings leadership and a real commitment to the Trojans. She holds not only herself accountable, but the entire team as well. McPherson has a tireless work ethic.   The OCAA Player of the Year led the Knights to a 6-0 record and first-place finish in the OCAA South Division. Sica, a fourth-year midfielder, scored nine times in six regular season matches. She was named a co-captain at Niagara. Sica, one of the senior student-athletes with the Knights and a former OUA player, brought experience both on and off the field to a team with a roster full of first-year players.

Alfred led the Sting to the top of the OCAA Central Division standings with a 6-0 record. The second-year forward led Seneca with 11 goals in six matches. Alfred is a versatile player with the ability to play in a variety of attacking roles. She leads by example and always trains to her full potential, acting as a role model for many of the Sting’s younger players. Alfred is an exemplary student-athlete who is always looking to improve.   McQueen scored 17 goals in only five matches to capture the OCAA scoring crown. The fifth-year striker led the Falcons to a 5-0-1 record and first-place finish in the OCAA West Division. McQueen stepped up this season as a leader at Fanshawe. She has grown into a great captain who will do anything for her team. McQueen always gives 100%, is very unselfish and is both a great person and teammate.   The RSEQ Player of the Year led the Cheetahs to a 9-0-1 record and first-place finish in the conference. Abdu, a second-year striker, scored 10 goals in only seven matches for Vanier. She also played in the Premier Ligue de Soccer Quebec, where she scored eight goals in nine games. Abdu is a unique and competitive player who has the rare ability to create and finish plays. She is a passionate and hard-working student-athlete who continues to focus on her academics.

Moise led Vanier, in its first year of Division I play, to a first-place finish in the always competitive RSEQ with a 9-0-1 record. The third-year striker scored nine markers in nine matches. Moise also competed in the Premier Ligue de Soccer Quebec, where she was named an All Star. Her ability to lead her team with her play on the field is what makes Moise special. She is a kind, passionate and hard-working student-athlete.   In her first season with the Mystics, Monroe led MSVU to a 7-2-3 record and second-place finish in the ACAA. The former U Sports student-athlete is a constant attacking threat with an exceptional ability to get in and behind the opposition’s back line. Monroe has a great ability to isolate and beat players one-one-one to produce and finish quality final plays. She is a well-rounded student-athlete, has a great personality and shows respect to all.   In her second season with the Hurricanes, Deighan led Holland to the top of the ACAA standings with a 9-2-1 record. The midfielder is a multi-sport student-athlete who also plays on the Hurricanes hockey team. Deighan, who earned CCAA Academic All-Canadian honours in 2020, has a strong work ethic and is a motivational leader on and off the field at Holland. She is competitive, resilient and always stays focused under stress.
