Day One at the CCAA Golf Championships presented by PING

The CCAA 2023 Golf Championship, presented by PING, began today at the Club de Golf Lorette in Quebec City.

Round one ended with Elaine Surjoprajogo from the OCAA in first place on the women’s side, shooting a 71 to open the Championship with a score of 1 under par. In a close second is Mackenzie Cloutier from the RSEQ, with a 73, followed by Rosalie Langlois of the RSEQ with a 76.

The OCAA-2 team of Justine Gorham, Elaine Surjoprajogo and Shannon Coffey are on top of the leaderboard amongst women’s teams with a combined 6 over par. In second place is the RSEQ-1 team, composed of Mackenzie Cloutier and Genevieve Jobin-Colgan, with a combined 8 over par. Coming in third with a combined 13 over par is the OCAA-1 team of Madison Ouellette, Bryden Dilley and Hayley McCallum.

Among the men, Michael Valk of Medicine Hat College leads the way with a blistering score of 7 under par. Humber College’s Matt Bremer shot a 68, coming in four under par, with teammate Daniel Talmage in third with a 3 under par.

Humber leads the men’s teams with a combined eleven under par. André-Laurendeau and Champlain St. Lawrence round out the top three with a collective +1 and +11, respectively.

Round two begins at 10:00 AM on Wednesday morning with Justine Gorham (OCAA) and

Noémie Potvin (RSEQ) teeing off at hole one and Mason Gorski (NAIT), Félix Duguay (Saint-Hyacinthe), and Michael Valk (Medicine Hat) at the tenth hole. The weather in Quebec City is projected to be a high of fourteen degrees Celsius and partly cloudy.
