CCAA Announces Brandon Stone as the Association’s Chief Executive Officer
The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association has selected Brandon Stone to serve as the Association’s next Chief Executive Officer.
Stone first joined the CCAA in April 2013, serving as the Association's Manager of Marketing & Sponsorship for over a decade. Under his direction the Association established more unified branding of CCAA assets, more standardized practices for Championship promotions and platforms, and alternative revenue generation opportunities. He has also been involved in updating and expanding the Association’s Awards programming, through initiatives such as the CCAA Hall of Fame and Torchbearer Scholarship.
“Brandon has demonstrated his ability to innovate and drive projects and ideas forward while in his role as the Association’s Manager of Marketing and Sponsorship,” said Vince Amato, CCAA President. “He will help move the CCAA into its next 50 years of providing quality experiences for our student-athletes at our national championships.”
Stone was engaged as a lead or support staff member in most of the CCAA’s portfolios, and since being appointed as interim CEO in July of 2024, has gained additional valuable experience. He has assisted in the organization of more than 100 CCAA National Championships, a dozen Annual General Meetings and two of the Association’s special anniversary seasons.
“I have always admired the Association’s collection of diverse perspectives and the membership’s ability to work toward common goals,” said Stone. ““It has been a privilege to serve the CCAA and its membership for the past 12 seasons and I am honoured by this opportunity.”
