The CCAA Strategic Plan is a document that outlines the directions and expected outcomes for collegiate sport in Canada. A thorough study involving student-athletes, coaches, athletic department staff and other stakeholders was conducted to determine the expectations for the CCAA.

"The new CCAA Strategic Plan is the CCAA's road map and framework for the next 5 years – achieving the expected outcomes will be the ongoing work and concerted effort of CCAA Standing committees and staff," said Sandra Murray-MacDonell, CCAA Chief Executive Officer.

The foundation of the Strategic Plan are the CCAA's Vision, Mission, Values and Guiding Principles that demonstrate the Association's commitment to 'enriching the academic experiences of student-athletes through intercollegiate sport'. The CCAA's role in the development of sport in Canada and commitment to the principles of integrity, fair play, equity and diversity are key features of the document.

The execution of these principles is outlined within the CCAA's Core Strategies of Student-Athlete Development, Organizational Effectiveness and Marketing & Communications and their associated expected outcomes.

"Under the current circumstances, it is as important as ever that an Association has a strategic plan with strong principles that provide a sense of direction, a foundation that drives all decision making," added Murray-MacDonell.

The CCAA thanks all its partners, including its member institutions, conferences, sponsors, associated MSOs & NSOs and Sport Canada for investing and assisting in the delivery of these expectations. The CCAA will continue to provide student-athletes and stakeholders with enriching experiences as a contributing partner to the Canadian Sport landscape.
