2021 CCAA Men's Soccer All-Canadians

The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) is proud to announce the 2021 CCAA Men’s Soccer All-Canadians.

The student-athletes, who are selected by their conference based on performance and contribution to the sport and their team, were honoured at the 2021 CCAA Men’s Soccer National Championship, hosted by Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Calgary, AB.

Here are the 2021 CCAA Men's Soccer All-Canadians:

Despite a fourth-place finish in the always tough PACWEST, Capilano’s Zadeh was named Player of the Year in the conference. He earned the PACWEST scoring title with five goals in eight games for the Blues. The second-year midfielder works tirelessly on the field and creates numerous scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. Zadeh won challenges on the pitch over and over again throughout the season.   Sudo led the Royals to a first-place finish in the competitive PACWEST with a 5-3-1 record. The first-year forward finished fifth in the conference in scoring with three goals. Sudo, an international student-athlete from Japan, has been an engaged member of the Men’s Soccer program and Athletics department at Douglas since his arrival this season.   Lima led the Ooks to a 5-0-1 record and first-place finish in the ACAC North Division. The third-year forward/midfielder is one of the most talented players to ever come through NAIT. Lima has great vision, creativity and natural-born skill that make him a truly outstanding player. He brings maturity and drive to the team, has no ego and never puts himself before others. Lima is coachable, modest and hardworking.

Sheridan Bruins

Filho led the Trojans to the top of the ACAC South Division standings with a 5-0-1 record. The fifth-year midfielder is a natural-born leader, both on and off the pitch. Filho is a student-athlete that all other players really listen to and they follow his lead. In addition to having a tireless work ethic, he is unbelievably skilled and knowledgeable about the sport of soccer.   Gonzalez led SAIT to a 5-0-1 record and first-place finish in the ACAC South Division. Despite returning to the Trojans at the age of 35, the third-year midfielder placed third in the ACAC in assists and ninth in goals. He is not only technically skilled but works exceptionally hard at his craft. Gonzalez is a leader on and off the field who has taken young international players under his wing to help them acclimatize to their new surroundings.   The OCAA Player of the Year led the Bruins to a 5-0-1 record and first-place finish in the OCAA South Division. Layne, a second-year striker, scored eight goals in six contests. He is undeniably a threat offensively and has become known in the OCAA as an elite player. Layne is a humble and calm-mannered person, but he understands what it means to compete and takes pride in getting the job done for his team.

Sneddon led the Falcons to a first-place finish in the OCAA West Division with a 5-0-1 record. The fourth-year striker scored seven goals in six matches. Sneddon returned from a difficult injury in 2019, showing terrific individual character to come back and still perform at a exceptionally high level. His hard work and dedication to the Men’s Soccer program at Fanshawe is unmatched.   The fifth-year defender led the Hawks to a 5-0-1 record and first-place finish in the OCAA Central Division. Gasparotto and the Humber defence allowed the fewest goals against in the division. He also scored a pair of markers himself. His professional experience allowed him to join the Hawks and become an immediate leader on the team. Gasparotto quickly earned the respect of all his fellow student-athletes at Humber.   Bahous, the RSEQ Player of the Year, led Champlain to a 7-1-2 record and third-place finish in the conference. The third-year student-athlete led the RSEQ with 10 goals from the midfield position. Bahous is the captain and heartbeat of the Cavaliers. He has matured and grown as a leader, both on and off the pitch. Bahous demands nothing but the best from himself and sets a high standard with his teammates.

Bourgeais led Les Aigles to an 8-1-1 record and tie for first place in the competitive RSEQ. The fourth-year attacking midfielder has been the captain at Ahunstic since 2019. He led the team to a silver medal at CCAA Nationals in 2018. Bourgeais is a very good technical player who has excellent vision of the game. He also suited up this season for St-Hubert in the Première Ligue de soccer du Québec.   Springer led the undefeated Tommies to a 10-0-2 record and first-place finish in the ACAA. The second-year striker led the conference in goals with 15. Springer is the ACAA’s runaway leader with 24 goals since his arrival at St. Thomas in 2019. He also takes his education seriously and was named a 2020-21 CCAA National Scholar Award recipient.   Ali led the Hurricanes to a second-place finish in the ACAA with a 10-1-1 record. The first-year striker found the back of the net six times in 11 games. Ali is a very positive and optimistic student-athlete and he has the desire and motivation to succeed. He is confident and leads by example. Ali is dedicated to excellence and has the ability to keep his teammates calm.
