PING and the CCAA tee it up for another round

As golf’s top professionals take to the greens of Augusta, the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association is proud to announce that PING is prolonging its support for collegiate golf in Canada.

PING’s new agreement to serve as the Official Presenting Sponsor of the CCAA Golf National Championships will extend the partners enduring relationship through 20 years. PING has supported the CCAA, it’s Hosts and student-athletes since the championship’s inception in 2000.

Dave Wilson, General Manager at PING Canada, has been a strong advocate for amateur golf in Canada and considers the CCAA National Championships a notable event for the sport.

“PING Canada is pleased to announce the renewal of support for the CCAA Golf National Championships,” said Wilson. “PING’s participation in this important event continues to evolve and we believe that our partnership with the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association encourages young players to play their best.”

PING’s contributions help fund elements of the event as well as enhance the experience for the golfers through product donations, gifts and prizing.

“The CCAA and the student-athletes who participate at the Golf National Championships are very fortunate to have PING as our national partner for this event,” said Joel Mrak, Vice President of Marketing with the CCAA. “PING's support helped grow the sport in the CCAA and gives the championship an added level of credibility on the Canadian Amateur Golf circuit.”

Medicine Hat will be the first stop on the new three-year agreement, where the Rattlers will welcome the country’s best to southern Alberta for the 2018 CCAA Golf National Championships Oct. 15-19 at the Desert Blume Golf Club.

PING Canada is also the long serving sponsor of the Canadian Junior Match Play Championship which is being hosted this summer at the Lakeridge Links Golf Club in Whitby, ON July 9-12, 2018.
