Camosun Chargers vs. VIU Mariners

A season-ending series between island rivals could also be a preview of the PACWEST's contingency for the CCAA Men's Volleyball National Championship. The VIU Mariners (19-3) have been atop the conference standings and the CCAA Rankings for much of the season, but the Camosun Chargers (12-10) have turned their season around with six straight wins. The conference champion will join the Chargers (CCAA #14) at Nationals, hosted by Camosun in Victoria, BC, next month.


ACAC Championship Hosted by Augustana Vikings
ACAC CURLING

The Augustana Vikings welcome the conference's top four men's and women's regional qualifiers to the ACAC Curling Championships this weekend. The Concordia Thunder topped the standings in both divisions but will be challenged by the RDC Kings, NAIT Ooks and Vikings on the men's side and the Ooks, RDC Queens and MacEwan Griffins in the women's draw. The men's and women's medalists will extend their season by qualifying for the CCAA / Curling Canada Championships in Leduc, AB from March 24-28.


OCAA Championship Hosted by Mohawk Mountaineers
OCAA BADMINTON

Student-athletes representing nine institutions from across Ontario will showcase their skills at Mohawk College this weekend at the 2018 OCAA Badminton Championships. The Humber Hawks have been atop the CCAA Rankings all season but athletes from the George Brown Huskies (CCAA# 4), UTM Eagles (CCAA #7), Georgian Grizzlies (CCAA #10), Fanshawe Falcons (CCAA #13), and Centennial Colts (CCAA #15) will all be in contention to represent the OCAA at the CCAA Badminton National Championships, hosted by Concordia University of Edmonton in two weeks.


Vanier Cheetahs vs. Dawson Blues
RSEQ MEN'S BASKETBALL

The Dawson Blues, fresh off a convincing victory over the defending National Champion Nomades de Montmorency, will look for their fifth straight victory when they host the Vanier Cheetahs in RSEQ Men's Basketball action. Dawson and Vanier are currently tied for third in Quebec with identical 10-4 records, only two points behind second-place Montmorency. Dawson, led by Bahaide Haidara who ranks second in the RSEQ with 19.9 points per game, would love to replace Vanier (#12) in the CCAA Rankings.


Mount Allison Mounties vs. Holland Hurricanes
ACAA MEN'S BASKETBALL

The Holland Hurricanes, who moved up two spots to No. 2 in the CCAA Rankings this week, host the Mount Allison Mounties in ACAA Men's Basketball action in Charlottetown, PE. Holland has won 11 straight and sits atop the conference standings with a 16-1 record. The Mounties (14-3) are second in the ACAA and sit 13th in the country. Mount Allison's Thomas LeGallais leads the ACAA with 22.1 points per game.
