As the “Official Retailer of the CCAA”, Big Kahuna Sport Co. has been one of the strongest supporters of the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association for almost two decades. In 2018 Big Kahuna will officially merge with Home Run Sports to become the Kahunaverse Sports Group (KSG). Contributions will continue for another five years under a redeveloped partnership agreement with KSG.
A key component of the new deal is that CCAA Athletic Departments will bi-annually receive a considerable rebate on all adidas purchases made while signed to an exclusive apparel partnership with KSG. The Kahunaverse Sports Group will also continue to offer CCAA Members discounted pricing on adidas apparel, footwear, accessories and miTeam orders.
“As a longtime partner, Big Kahuna has continuously made efforts to support the CCAA and its members in unique and meaningful ways,” said Joel Mrak, CCAA Vice-President of Marketing. “With this new agreement, those opportunities will exist for several more years.”
In addition to the new exclusive partnership incentives KSG will continue to support and supplement the CCAA and the National Championships, both financially and through product donations. Online souvenir stores will be administered for all CCAA events with proceeds from sales going to the CCAA and the Host Institutions. The Kahunaverse Sports Group will also maintain their adidas apparel contributions for top performing athletes at the CCAA National Championships.
