2015 CCAA Men's Cross-Country Running All-Canadians

Nov. 14, 2015 – The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association is proud to announce the 2015 CCAA Men's Cross-Country Running All-Canadians.

The student-athletes, who are selected by their conference based on performance and contribution to the sport and their team, were honoured at a banquet during the 2015 CCAA Cross-Country Running National Championships, hosted by St. Lawrence College in Brockville, ON.

Here are the 2015 Men’s Cross-Country Running All-Canadians:

   Alexander Harding
   Kirk Sundt

Lethbridge Kodiaks   Concordia Thunder
Harding led the Lethbridge men’s team to their first ACAC win since 2009. The captain also led the Kodiaks to team victories earlier in the Grand Prix series at Lethbridge, Camrose and Calgary. Individually, Harding placed in the Top 3 all season long, including a victory in Calgary. Harding, the Kodiak Track Athlete of the Year, is competing in his final season of cross-country running.   Sundt captured a silver medal at the ACAC Championships, finishing less than a second out of the top spot. He placed second overall individually in the ACAC Grand Prix Series with two victories and two runner-up finishes. Sundt also led the Thunder to an ACAC Team silver medal. He wins with grace and loses with dignity and is always the first to compliment and congratulate his fellow competitors.

   Rob Asselstine
   Seth Marcaccio

St. Lawrence Vikings   Fanshawe Falcons
Asselstine captured gold medals at the OCAA Championship and the SLC-Brockville Invitational. He is the ideal student-athlete; successful on the course and in the classroom. Asselstine is a coachable leader, who works with his coaches on improving strategy and technique. He is always looking for ways to improve after each race, even though he likely finished on the podium.   Marcaccio finished second individually at the OCAA Championship. He was victorious at the Sault and Fanshawe Invitationals and had a third-place finish at St. Lawrence. Marcaccio also led the Falcons to team silver at provincials. He leads by example with a consistent work ethic for others to follow. Marcaccio has earned the respect of those he competes against in handling both success, and adversity.

   Jules Burnotte
   Guillaume Chénard

Volontaires de Sherbrooke   Volontaires de Sherbrooke
Burnotte placed second at both the final RSEQ race of the season and the St. Lawrence Invitational. He also helped lead the Volontaires to three first-place team victories. His competitiveness and team spirit have made him an inspiration to his younger teammates.   Chénard had a first- and third-place finish in the RSEQ this season. He also led the Volontaires to three first-place finishes in team events. Chénard is a disciplined athlete who is dedicated to training.
