Wildcard & Draw set for CCAA Women’s Soccer
The 2021 CCAA Women’s Soccer National Championship will be hosted by Humber College at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Woodbridge, ON., from Nov. 10-13.
The eight-team tournament will feature the CCAA debut of the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference (MCAC), which will send its conference champion in Women’s Soccer to the event.
The MCAC representative will be joined by champions from the Pacific Western Athletic Association (PACWEST), Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC), Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA), Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ) and Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Assocation (ACAA).
The RSEQ sit atop the CCAA Wildcard standings in Women’s Soccer and receive an additional berth at Nationals. The wildcard spot is awarded to a CCAA member conference based on its performance at CCAA Championships over the past three years. Conferences awarded wildcard positions are eligible to send a second team to Nationals.
The host Humber Hawks of the OCAA receive an automatic berth to round out the field.

QF MATCHES 1 & 2: OCAA Champion, RSEQ Wildcard, PACWEST Champion, ACAA Champion
QF MATCHES 3 & 4: OCAA Host, RSEQ Champion, ACAC Champion, MCAC Champion
The draw divides qualifying teams into two brackets using standardized designation and the current wildcard ranking chart, which is based on placings at the previous three CCAA Championships.
Following conference championships, the CCAA Convenor and Seeding Committee, which comprises of provincial convenors from all six conferences, will seed teams in each bracket.
The first seed will face the fourth seed, while the second seed will take on the third seed in each group. As per CCAA policy, the host team can choose the timeslot for its first game.
The Dynamiques de Sainte-Foy (RSEQ) are the defending CCAA champions. Sainte-Foy defeated Vancouver Island University (PACWEST) 3-0 in the gold-medal match at the 2019 CCAA Women’s Soccer National Championship, which was hosted by Concordia University of Edmonton. Champlain Saint-Lambert (RSEQ) earned the bronze medal at the tournament.
