Nov. 14, 2015 – The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association is proud to announce the 2015 CCAA Women's Cross-Country Running All-Canadians.
The student-athletes, who are selected by their conference based on performance and contribution to the sport and their team, were honoured at a banquet during the 2015 CCAA Cross-Country Running National Championships, hosted by St. Lawrence College in Brockville, ON.
Here are the 2015 Women's Cross-Country Running All-Canadians:
Marriya Jenkins | Jamie Wigmore | ||
Concordia Thunder | GPRC Wolves | ||
Jenkins finished second in the ACAC Grand Prix Series with Top 3 finishes in all four races. She captured silver at the ACAC Championship, giving her four career medals. Jenkins also led the Thunder to a silver medal in team competition. She is a team-first athlete and continually sets the bar for training and competing, acting as a role model for her teammates. | Wigmore, now a three-time CCAA All-Canadian, captured individual gold at the ACAC Championship, after silver medals in 2013 and 2014. She had four victories during the ACAC Grand Prix Series and a runner-up finish. Wigmore, who only took up cross-country running at the age of 19, is a natural leader and fun-loving teammate. The Wolves co-captain has a history of coming up big in championship races. |
Ashley Bickle | Emily Marcolini | ||
Loyalist Lancers | Cambrian Golden Shield | ||
Bickle earned a silver medal at the OCAA Championship in Sault Ste. Marie and also placed second at the Seneca and Sault Invitationals. She has been a strong leader in both her years at Loyalist. Bickle is always positive, polite and is an incredibly kind student-athlete who is extremely dedicated to her sport. She is respectful of her teammates, competitors and coaches. | Marcolini captured an individual gold medal at the OCAA Championship and was also victorious at the Fanshawe, Sault and St. Lawrence - Brockville Invitationals. The first-year Golden Shield student-athlete was named to the 2015 Women’s All Ontario First team. |
Jessy Lacourse | Kloé Gervais-Pépin | ||

Lacourse, who took home a silver medal from Nationals in 2014, finished first at RSEQ races in Sherbrooke and Quebec. She is a humble athletes who leads by example and is 100% invested in her team. Lacourse demonstrates excellent sportsmanship, respects her teammates and opponents and recognizes the value of her fellow competitors. | Gervais-Pépin was the runner-up at the RSEQ Championship and also placed second in two other North-East races in Quebec. She has always managed to excel both academically and on the course. Gervais- Pépin is a dynamic person who demonstrates excellent leadership during training sessions. She is known for her contagious energy and ability to motivate her teammates. |
