PACWEST MEN'S & WOMEN'S GOLF

The Camosun Chargers welcome their PACWEST colleagues to the Island for the third leg of the conference golf tour. After two stops, the UBC-Okanagan Heat narrowly lead the men’s division over the UFV Cascades, while on the women’s side their respective positions are reversed. All teams will be looking for strong scores at Highland Pacific before the cumulative season wraps up next week.


ACAC Golf Championships
ACAC MEN'S & WOMEN'S GOLF

MacEwan hosts the ACAC Golf Championships at RedTail Landing, where the Griffins are potential favourites to win the men’s and women’s competitions. The Griffins won both women’s regional events and one of the men’s tournaments, but Red Deer and Medicine Hat each had strong showings as well. Regardless of those results, all teams still have the chance to be crowned ACAC Champions and punch a ticket to the PING CCAA Golf National Championships next month at Durham College in Oshawa.


Seneca Invitational
OCAA CROSS-COUNTRY RUNNING
September 30

     

The Seneca Sting will host the OCAA’s best runners for an invitational event at Seneca’s King Campus. The course, which runs parallel to Lake Seneca, is also the future site of the 2018 CCAA Cross-Country Running National Championships. Fanshawe enters this weekend, and mid-way point of the season, as favourites. The Falcons won both of the previous women’s events and the men’s team have a first and fourth place finish of their own. 


RSEQ Golf Championships
RSEQ MEN'S & WOMEN'S GOLF

The RSEQ golf championships will take place this weekend in Quebec City. The Club de golf Lorette, site of CCAA Nationals in 2014, will play host to the event on Saturday and Sunday. The RSEQ will send two men's and one women's team to the 2017 PING CCAA Golf National Championships, hosted by Durham College Oct. 16-20 in Oshawa, ON. The Champlain St. Lawrence Lions are currently ranked second in the CCAA in both men's and women's golf.


Holland Hurricanes vs. UKC Blue Devils
ACAA MEN'S SOCCER
October 1 at 4 p.m. AT
     

The undefeated Holland Hurricanes will host the second-place UKC Blue Devils on Sunday afternoon in ACAA Men's Soccer action. UKC (3-1-2) will look to avenge its only loss of the season, a 5-1 thumping at the hands of Holland on Sept. 16. The Hurricanes (6-0) are currently ranked fourth in the CCAA, while the Blue Devils entered the National rankings last week at No. 15.
