FieldTurf ignites the CCAA Torchbearer Scholarship with new partnership
|
The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Torchbearer Scholarship Presented by FieldTurf is a collaboration that recognizes student-athletes who have contributed to the betterment of their community. The goal of the program is to identify civic leaders within the CCAA and provide them with financial support while recognizing and encouraging their endeavours. The CCAA and FieldTurf will select six recipients based on their extra-curricular initiatives in their communities. Each recipient will receive a $1,500 scholarship to support their personal and professional development. “The CCAA has a long history of honouring elite athletic and academic achievements,” said Brandon Stone, Chief Executive Officer of the CCAA. “Thanks to this generous contribution from FiedlTurf, the Association can continue to recognize student-athletes for their accomplishments beyond the classroom and field of play.”
“At FieldTurf, asking ‘how can we leave communities in a better place?’ isn’t just a question,” said Darren Gill, Executive Vice-President, FieldTurf North America. “It’s a core value that drives everything we do and sports have the unique power to unite, uplift, and create lasting impact far beyond the final whistle.” “We’re proud to support the CCAA Torchbearer Scholarship because it celebrates those who share that belief — student-athletes who lead with purpose and help strengthen the communities around them,” added Gill. “Encouraging that mentality isn’t just aligned with our mission. It’s how we build something that lasts.” The opportunity to apply for the CCAA Torchbearer Scholarship Presented by FieldTurf is open with an online submission procedure. The application window will remain open until the end of January, followed by the selection process and eventual announcements in April. APPLICATION LINK
