MSVU Mystics

MATCH 1: 10 a.m. PT

Carole Holt’s NAIT Ooks captured the provincial crown in Alberta with a thrilling victory over the SAIT Trojans in the ACAC Championship match. Yuri Akatsi’s marker in the second overtime propelled NAIT to the victory. The Ooks were a perfect 10-0 in the regular season to finish first in the ACAC North Division. They’ll face the MSVU Mystics, the ACAA Champions. MSVU defeated the St. Thomas Tommies 3-2 in the ACAA Championship final. The Mystics were 9-2-1 in the regular season and placed second behind St. Thomas (10-0-2) in the ACAA standings. 


VIU Mariners
vs.
Champlain Cavaliers

Wednesday, Nov. 7
MATCH 2: 12:30 p.m. PT

The VIU Mariners punched their ticket to CCAA Nationals by shutting out the Capilano Blues 2-0 in the PACWEST Championship final. Led by PACWEST Player of the Year Chloe Gummer, the Mariners were 5-2-5 in the regular season and finished atop the conference standings. They’ll face the Champlain Saint-Lambert Cavaliers, the RSEQ’s wildcard team. The Cavaliers were edged 2-1 by rival Garneau in the RSEQ final. Champlain, led by RSEQ Player of the Year Karima Lemire, went 7-2-1 in the regular season to place second in the RSEQ standings. The Cavaliers earned CCAA silver last fall in Halifax, NS. 


Fanshawe Falcons
vs.
SAIT Trojans

Wednesday, Nov. 7
MATCH 3: 3 p.m. PT

The Fanshawe Falcons, on a goal by OCAA Player of the Year Jade Kovacevic, defeated the Humber Hawks 3-2 in overtime to capture the provincial championship in Ontario. The Falcons were a perfect 10-0 in the regular season and finished atop the OCAA West Division standings. Kovacevic, a fourth-year forward, led the OCAA with a whopping 30 goals this season. Fanshawe will face the SAIT Trojans, the ACAC’s wildcard entry. The Trojans, led by ACAC Player of the Year Deanna Kuan, finished atop the ACAC South Division standings with a perfect 12-0 record in the regular season. SAIT was ousted by NAIT in a thrilling double overtime final. 


Élans de Garneau
vs.
Douglas Royals

Wednesday, Nov. 7
MATCH 4: 5:30 p.m. PT

The four-time defending CCAA National Champion Élans are back to defend their title and will face the host Royals in the quarter-finals. Led by third-year defender Ariane Langlois, the Élans cruised to a 9-0-1 record in the competitive RSEQ to finish atop the standings once again. Garneau defeated Champlain 2-1 in the RSEQ Championship final. The Élans have captured an incredible 16 straight provincial titles and have earned 13 CCAA medals in that time. Douglas will have home-field advantage in Coquitlam, BC. The Royals, led by fifth-year midfielder Samantha Kell, placed second overall in the PACWEST with a 5-4-3 record. They were defeated 1-0 by Capilano in the PACWEST semi-final.
