Women's Soccer: Day 3 Recap

NAIT 3, Algonquin 0

In the first half, Kaily Mohn scores the first goal for NAIT in the 14th minute of the game, as a result of her cohesive play with Kassy Jajczay in the end zone.

In the second half, a red card for Melissa Harrison forces the Thunder to defend themselves after being down a player. Megan Loyns scores a second goal for NAIT in the 76th minute and CCAA Player of the Year Jajczay adds a third goal to seal NAIT’s victory in the 89th minute.

Players of the Game were Kaily Mohn (NAIT) and Sylvie Avedissian (Algonquin).

Douglas 2, GPRC 1

In the first half, in the 28th minute, Janai Martens, following a nice offensive attack by Chelsea Fitzgerald, redirects a rebound to the back of the net, giving the Wolves an early lead.

At the start of the second half, Mikayla Hamilton defeats Brodeur, the goalkeeper, and evens the score. In the 84th minute, after misconduct by GPRC’s Taylor Watson, Royals striker Samantha Kell places the ball in the left corner, the eventual game winner for Douglas.

Players of the Game were Sonali Dholliwar (Douglas) and Michele Brodeur (GPRC).
