Jackson, the PACWEST Player of the Year, led the Blues to an 8-2-2 record and tie for first place atop the conference standings. Now a three-time CCAA All-Canadian, he scored 13 times to lead the PACWEST in goals for the third straight season. The fifth-year forward and Capilano captain has also earned multiple CCAA Academic All-Canadian and CCAA National Scholar awards. Jackson is also part of the CapU Blues peer mentor program.

In his first season at Langara, Ekeh was named the PACWEST Rookie of the Year. He finished tied for second in the conference with 10 goals and led the Falcons to their first PACWEST playoff appearance in four seasons. Ekeh always brings a huge smile and positive attitude to the field and keeps the energy and morale high. He leads by example and is a great ambassador for Langara and the PACWEST.

Zach Kaiser

Dean Northover

NAIT Ooks

SAIT Trojans

The fifth-year midfielder led NAIT to a first-place finish in the ACAC North Division with a 9-0-1 record. Kaiser’s leadership and superb play in the midfield make him a standout on any pitch anywhere. He is the anchor and heart and soul of the Ooks. The NAIT captain is a coach’s dream; a person of true character and an inspiration to all who know him. Kaiser sets the example to his teammates through his work ethic.

Northover, the ACAC Player of the Year for the second straight season, led the Trojans to a perfect 12-0 record and a first-place finish in the ACAC South Division. The third-year midfielder led SAIT with 11 goals. Northover is now a two-time CCAA All-Canadian and has also earned CCAA Academic All-Canadian honours. He is a selfless a leader with a positive attitude and a willingness to hold his teammates accountable.

Filipe Vilela

George Brown Huskies

Niagara Knights

Vilela, the OCAA Player of the Year, found the back of the net 14 times to lead the conference in goals for the second straight season. The second-year striker led George Brown to a 5-1-4 record. He has been a key piece in the Huskies turnaround over the last two seasons. Vilela is highly respected by his George Brown teammates and always brings great effort and tenacity to the field.

Amore led the Knights to a 7-2-1 record and second-place finish in the OCAA West Division. The fifth-year midfielder and Niagara captain has the ability to control the game. Amore utilizes his spectacular footwork to evade defenders and creates countless offensive opportunities. He is also a tireless worker on the defensive side of the ball and consistently disrupts the opposition’s attack through the midfield. Amore is a calming presence on the field.

André led Ahuntsic to a 9-0-1 record and first-place finish in the conference. The RSEQ Player of the Year was the Indiens’ captain in his first season at Ahuntsic. He defends well without making many mistakes – André earned only a single yellow card all season as a defender. He is mature, responsible, very intelligent and displays the natural leadership skills of a gentleman. André is a great example to follow for all his teammates.

The third-year striker led the Élans to a second-place finish in the RSEQ with a 7-3 record. Makanzu, now a two-time CCAA All-Canadian, also saw action with the Dynamo de Québec in the Première Ligue de soccer du Québec. He stands out with his offensive sense and is an excellent finisher. Makanzu demonstrates leadership with his intensity, has an irreproachable work ethic and always gives 100% effort in training and games.

Shunya Kobayashi

Holland Hurricanes

St. Thomas Tommies

The ACAA Player of the Year led the Hurricanes to a 9-2-1 record and first-place finish in the conference. In his first year at Holland, Kobayashi scored seven times and led the ACAA with six assists. His technical ability and flair are unmatched on the pitch and his ability to pass the ball to his teammates is a joy to watch. Kobayashi, who arrived in Canada and enrolled in the English Language Program, has earned the utmost respect from his teammates and coaches.

Yearwood was a key contributor in the Tommies’ turnaround season. A year after posting a 1-9-2 record, St. Thomas improved to 7-2-3 and climbed to second place in the ACAA standings. The third-year student-athlete has developed into a top defensive midfielder. A lot of the work Yearwood does may go unnoticed on the scoresheet, but his ability to win tackles and aerial balls has been instrumental in St. Thomas’ success this season.
