ACAA Championships Hosted by Mount Allison Mounties
ACAA BADMINTON
February 16 & 17

     

The 2019 CCAA Badminton National Championships are taking place March 6-9 at Dalhousie Agricultural Campus in Truro, NS. The ACAA will determine which teams will represent their Host conference this weekend with the championships taking place on Saturday followed by the CCAA Qualifiers on Sunday. Athletes from Sainte-Anne, Holland, Dal AC, UKC and the host Mount Allison Mounties will all be vying for spots on the ACAA national championship squads. 


Cavaliers de Bois-de-Boulogne vs. Élans de Garneau
RSEQ WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL

The race to determine first place in the 2018-19 RSEQ regular season couldn’t have ended any more dramatically. Currently tied for first with identical records, the Cavaliers de Bois-de-Boulogne (12-5) and Élans de Garneau (12-5) play in the final match of the season to determine top seed heading into the playoffs. Garneau (CCAA No. 11) are 2-0 against B-de-B (CCAA No. 8) this season but none of that matters in this winner-takes-all matchup. 


OCAA Championships Hosted by UTM Eagles
OCAA BADMINTON
February 15 & 16

     

The OCAA has a strong field of badminton athletes and the top three singles players and doubles teams from each discipline will compete at the Conference Championships this weekend.  The University of Toronto Mississauga welcomes athletes from Boréal, Centennial, Conestoga, Fanshawe, George Brown, Georgian, Humber, Mohawk, Seneca and St. Lawrence. The top finishers in each contest will advance to the CCAA National Championships in Truro as part of the OCAA Team contingents.


ACAC Championships Hosted by Concordia Thunder
ACAC BADMINTON

Last year’s CCAA National Championship Hosts, the Concordia Thunder, are welcoming the NAIT Ooks, TKU Eagles and Olds Broncos to the Ralph King Athletic Centre for the ACAC Badminton Championships. The Ooks appear to be the team to beat with a conference record 15 team titles including a run of eight consecutive seasons on top. In addition to the conference titles, athletes from all four teams will have the chance to qualify and represent the ACAC teams at the CCAA National Championships in March.


Capilano Blues vs. Douglas Royals
PACWEST MEN'S VOLLEYBALL
February 14 @ 8 p.m. PT & February 16 @ 6 p.m. PT
 

A home and home series between the first and second place PACWEST teams will wrap up the men’s volleyball regular season. The No. 3 ranked Douglas Royals (19-3) will visit Capilano (17-5) on Thursday, then host the CCAA’s No. 9 ranked Blues in a rematch on Saturday. Douglas sits four points ahead of Capilano in the standings, but the Blues won both previous matches against the Royals earlier in the season.
