VIU Mariners vs. Douglas Royals

The Douglas Royals (1-1-1) are looking to build on their big win over the Capilano Blues (2-1) last weekend, taking on the VIU Mariners (3-1) at home. The Blues and Mariners have traditionally been atop the PACWEST standings but the Royals are making things interesting as they roar their way up the CCAA Rankings. VIU squeaked out a tight 2-1 victory over Douglas when the teams met earlier this month.


Concordia Thunder vs. NAIT Ooks

The Concordia Thunder (4-0-0) make the short trek across town to face the NAIT Ooks (2-0-0) as the two undefeated teams put their perfect records to the test. The ACAC North Division is a competitive one, with the Thunder women currently second in the CCAA Rankings, while the Ooks are only a few spots behind at No. 8. Both teams are defensive powerhouses with Concordia yet to surrender a goal and NAIT having only given up one.

OCAA Golfers head north for two events near Lake Simcoe. The Host Georgian Grizzlies were dominant at both the men's and women's competitions last week and will look to build upon that at the Heritage Hills Golf Course on Thursday. The Lakehead Thunderwolves then welcome student-athletes the next day to the Hawk Ridge Golf Club for the third OCAA Invitational Tournament.

RSEQ WOMEN'S SOCCER

The final three undefeated Women's Soccer teams in the RSEQ will collide this weekend in Quebec. Les Élans de Garneau, the three-time defending CCAA Women's Soccer champions, face a pair of teams who are off to 2-0 starts in the always-competitive RSEQ. On Friday, Garneau (2-0-1) travels to Collège Lionel-Groulx to face the upstart Nordiques. On Sunday, the No. 1 Ranked Élans host the Champlain Saint-Lambert Cavaliers, who entered the CCAA Rankings this week at No. 15.


St. Thomas & UNB Invitationals
ACAA MEN'S & WOMEN'S GOLF
September 23 & 24
     

Varsity golfers on the East Coast will be busy this weekend with a pair of ACAA events in New Brunswick. St. Thomas University will host the conference's opening event of the season on Saturday at the Mactaquac Golf Club. On Sunday, the second ACAA tournament will be hosted by the University of New Brunswick at the Kingswood Golf Club. The two events will serve as a tune-up for the ACAA Golf Championships, which will be held Sept. 30-Oct. 1 in Prince Edward Island.
