As the Official Basketball of the CCAA, a new special edition Wilson Evolution will be arriving in time for the Men's and Women's Basketball National Championships.
The CCAA emblazoned basketballs are part of a three-year partnership with Wilson Canada which includes the 2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19 seasons and National Championships.
"The CCAA is very excited to enter into this new partnership with Wilson," said Scott Dennis, CCAA Vice-President of Marketing. "The Wilson Evolution is widely used across Canadian collegiate athletics and teams are looking forward to competing with it at our National Championships.”
In exchange for the Official Basketball designation, Wilson will be providing the CCAA and its members with a number of benefits. CCAA National Championship and Conference Championship Hosts will receive these new CCAA decorated Evolution basketballs for use at their events. Award and Prize Giveaway packages will also be provided by Wilson for the National Championships.
Wilson has also joined the CCAA’s Marketing Incentive Program, allowing CCAA institutions to receive rebates for their basketball purchases. Finally, CCAA teams that use the Evolution for their regular season games will be eligible to receive Wilson’s tech savvy “Connected” Basketball for training purposes in their athletic programs.
The Wilson Evolution will make its CCAA National Championship debut during the Women’s Championship at NAIT in Edmonton and the Men’s Championship at Holland College in Charlottetown. Both National Championships are being held March 15-18, 2017.
